More details

MassHealth pays a personal care attendant — often a family member — to help with bathing, dressing, eating and mobility at home. You choose and manage the person.

The agency that served Cape Cod withdrew on 30 June 2026 and MassHealth is reassigning people. If you are mid-application, call and confirm who now handles the Cape. CORD in Hyannis (508-775-8300) can help you navigate it.

Who qualifies
On MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth, with a permanent or chronic disability, needing hands-on help with 2 or more daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating, mobility); must manage it yourself or have a surrogate
How to start
