For organisations: print, stock and share these guides free
If you serve older people on the Cape, these guides are yours to use. They are free, dated, sourced and written for the person across the desk from you. Here is how organisations use them, and the few things we ask.
Your toolkit
How fresh is a listing? Every listing shows the date a person last checked it. A green Checked this month label means it was checked this calendar month; Confirmed by the business means the provider confirmed its own details in reply to our monthly check-in.
Put the directory on your website
What changed this week, every Monday
For discharge planners, Councils on Aging, clinics and care managers: every number corrected, provider added or closed, and rule that changed on the Cape, in one short email on Monday. Only sent when something changed.
What you may do, free, without asking
- Print any guide or town sheet for your waiting room, front desk, discharge folder or newsletter. Pages print cleanly on plain paper and the sponsor’s box does not print.
- Hand them out at talks, clinics, SHINE sessions, support groups and coffee hours.
- Link to them from your website, email or social media.
- Quote a key-facts table or a checklist, with the credit line below.
Credit line: From the Cape Cod Senior Resource Directory, seniortransitions.thecelebrateteam.com. Facts checked [date on the page].
We ask only that you don’t edit a guide and pass it off as current, and that you print a fresh copy when the “Facts checked” date changes. Medicare, tax and fuel-assistance figures change every autumn and winter.
Which guides suit which desk
| If you are… | Most useful |
|---|---|
| A Council on Aging or senior centre | Medicare Open Enrollment, tax relief, winter and storms, and your town’s one-page sheet |
| A hospital, rehab or home-health team | Leaving hospital this week, levels of care, fall-proofing |
| A doctor’s office or pharmacy | A dementia diagnosis: the first 30 days, driving, Medicare |
| A library or church | Scams and contractors, the papers every family needs, for adult children |
| A bank, credit union or law office | Scams, papers, after a death |
| A funeral home or hospice | After a death: the first days and weeks, an empty house over winter |
| A local business with older customers | Scams, winter, and a stack of town sheets by the till |
Town sheets for the counter
Each Cape town has a one-page sheet of the numbers older residents need most — Council on Aging, rides, meals, fuel help, protective services — with a QR code that opens the directory. Find them on the home page under “One page for the fridge”.
Is your listing right?
Every listing shows the date it was last checked. If yours is wrong or missing, send a correction (a person reads every one), or email arthur.radtke@exprealty.com. Listings are free and nobody can pay to be listed or ranked. See our independence policy.
Professionals: review a guide
The guides on law, tax, benefits and care are waiting for a Massachusetts professional in the field to review them. Reviewers are named on the page. How reviewing works.
Who is behind this
The directory is paid for by Arthur Radtke, a REALTOR® with The Celebrate Team (eXp Realty). That is stated on every page, and his box never prints. How this is paid for · Editorial standards.
